BEHOLD! ALBUM ART! (and other great news!)

Happy Saturday morning, everybody! Here's this week's news:

El Scorcho Album Art & Release Date

The countdown to the release of El Scorcho has officially begun! Mark your calendars for Friday, September 16. I'm excited to finally share this awesome album art by Leigh Cox (who did illustrations for the movie Keanu) and Joe Ryckebosch (who did the album art for Mutemath's Vitals)! Leigh did the illustration and Joe added the tape art. I LOVE IT. I have some sample merch with this awesomeness IN MY HANDS right now, and I can't wait to share it with you! We're working on a few different options, and it'll all be ready for you to order when the single releases.

YouTube Uploads

Thanks so much to everyone who came and supported us and the amazing Bob Thompson Band at last weekend's gig! I've uploaded three of our tunes from that night onto YouTube:

We got almost 6,000 Facebook views on the quick little Regina Spektor cover Ryan Kennedy and I did last week. Not exactly viral, but that's the record for the most views on one of my videos. Here it is on YouTube, for those of you who don't Facebook. :)

I had a great time working as guest clinician with these young people at Ravenswood High School. Director Joyce Good-Pitchford is doing an awesome job with them, and I was super-impressed by their work and willingness to try new things. I can't wait to hear what the year brings for them!

Summer Jams

Summer's almost over, but I'm gonna keep rockin' out my Summer Heavy Rotation playlist until the equinox on September 22. It's been a good one. Check it out for some great jams, including new tunes by Adam Saxe, Jared Mahone, Hiatus Kaiyote, Moonchild, and more:

Thanks for checking in, guys! Have a great weekend!
